The Seix-Sou Forest, a NATURA 2000 site, implemented an Integrated System for Forest Fire (FF) Management with modules for each of the four phases: Awareness, Emergency, Impacts, and Dissemination of best practices. Focused on the Wild Land Urban Interface (WUI), the project assessed and reduced FF risks through pre-emptive methods. Smart FF emergency technology included fire front simulation, ground units tracking, dynamic evacuation planning, and web-map services for mobile users. Dissemination organized past FF knowledge, documenting best practices and creating a spatio-temporal geodatabase.
